AusLUG: 29th & 30th March 2012, MELBOURNE, Australia

Two days of feature packed SESSIONS!

Keynote: Business. Gets Social - with Ed Brill and Ted Stanton IBM

In the keynote session, Hear how social technology is dramatically changing the way we live - individuals are empowered with unmatched levels of information, connectivity, engagement, and insight at any time, any place. Because of this, the ways in which individuals and communities interact, form relationships, make decisions, accomplish work, and purchase goods are fundamentally changing the way business is done. But what does this mean for email?

Ed Brill and Ted Stanton will take you through the most significant updates and future developments for the IBM social collaboration portfolio, plus discuss the future of email and where it's placed in the ever increasing social world.

Ed Brill is Director, Product Line Management, IBM Collaboration Solutions. His team is responsible for the market success of IBM's messaging and collaboration, productivity, and unified communications products -- on-premises and in the cloud. Brill has been with IBM for nearly eighteen years, in a variety of sales, marketing, product management, and strategy roles. AusLUG 2012 marks his twelfth visit to Australia.

Featured session: User Adoption Strategies for IBM Connections: Encouraging the Adoption of New Working Styles to Improve Business Value - with Michael Sampson

Industry analysts and leading organizations agree: IBM Connections is a fantastic product for Social Business and organizational collaboration. But getting from the promise of great technology to the reality of doing business better demands that intentional energy be invested in user adoption. If it's not, the risk of failure is high, and the promise of Connections remains just wishful thinking. In this session, Michael Sampson presents key strategies for encouraging user adoption of IBM Connections, reports on a recent global survey of the use and effectiveness of adoption strategies among organizations currently using IBM Connections, and presents a number of case studies of how specific organizations have approached the adoption challenge with IBM Connections in order to deliver improved value to their businesses.
